In the lives of many young people, there is usually a state where confusion shows itself in full nature. In this point in time, many who are in their youthful ages think nature hates them. Some who happen to be Christians sometimes turn their backs to their creator as they have concluded within themselves that there is nothing like God. This and many other wrong decisions come in because the young feel weak.

A Determined Youth: A Difference Maker

Sometimes when I go to work, I usually go with my Laptop. In fact, that has become my companion. The reason why I move with the device to office on many occasions is to recharge the battery because there is usually power failure in the part of the country am living in, and there is always power supply (through electric generator) in the company where I work. Sometimes, people see me as if I am the only one that has such kind of device and some of my co-workers in the company sometimes pass some side talks concerning such behaviour of mine.

When I was still a kid, I did not fully understand the level of hard times many youths were passing through. Then, when I saw young men and women grooving in their clean cars, I felt happy and thought it was easy for them before they established such achievement. As I was growing, I began to find out the reality about the life you and I are living in.

Some press companies all over the globe through their publications on poor youth empowerment have been lamenting on its bad side, which youth unemployment is not an exception. The media is doing the much it could but yet, the problem persists though some impacts have been made.

It is true that youth unemployment is one of the challenges the youths all over the world are facing today. But I want to make it clear at this point; it is in your hands to choose the category you want to find yourself. If you want to be among the people being affected, it depends on you. If you in the other way want to be in the category being employed, all is your decision to make. So my friend, the choice is yours.


Being employed as used here does not really implies that you must work for someone. It means you keep yourself busy with something that will add money into your pocket. You can be self-employed or work under any establishment.

Procrastination is defined as the action of delaying or postponing something. Olpin and Hesson (2013) defined it as the avoidance of doing a task that needs to be accomplished. Williams Webster Dictionary defined it as to put off intentionally the doing of something that should be done. It is the delaying of activities that need to be attended to or forgetting it in totality as a result of laziness or carelessness.

During my undergraduate days in the university, I faced many challenges. These challenges include both financial and social challenges. Sometimes, I began to think far when I had no money at hand to take care of my expenses as a student. These thoughts sometimes landed me into severe headache. Whenever I recover, I kept moving. But in the course of those disturbances I was giving myself through thinking, I never gave up. I always beat my chest and said to myself, "Uzor you will make it because God is not dead". He is living and He sees all the challenges you are passing through. That kept me going.
