Failure isn’t the worst possible result; not trying is

The above topic is a great one. It is a title that every youth that is facing one or two challenges need to contemplate and dig deep in. That statement was made by someone that understands some things about life and the challenges it may pose sometimes.


Richard Carswell said: “Failure isn’t the worst possible result; not trying is". Why are some youths afraid to try something new they have not tried before? Why the fear which does not hold any water?

Everyday you see people drive around in their cars. Some dress so smart and cute. Some have good and unique qualities and achievements to show. Some are base on "packaging" not that really have much. That what we see in our practical world of today.

Do you know what? Those "classy" persons you see tried before they made it. Some passed through so many hard ways before they arrived at their current state. It was not easy for them at the start.


Failure isn’t the worst possible result; not trying is. When you try and fail, you can try again until you get it right to some extent. Trying is like someone who is training his or herself until mastery of a particular skill or thing is achieved.

When one try, he makes an attempt. But when one do not try, he becomes stagnant. He does not learn anything new. A stagnant water smells because it does not flow.

A youth that do not try can rotten and become weak. And any youth that makes himself like that cannot cope with the demand of the society. He becomes an inactive youth. But, any reasonable youth cannot be tagged inactive.

As stated before, some young people are afraid to try first not to talk of failing after that. That is not a good way of living a productive life. If failure becomes the result at first, you can do better when you make second, third, and the rest attempts.

There are many youths out there that are unemployed because they do not want to try themselves in the available job. One of the jobs is marketing. Some of them said that it is a very difficult job. Some young ladies have concluded that doing such job is an avenue to expose them to rich men who may in one way or the other take advantage of them.

That have been the mindset of many young people. They have not done such job before but they can tell the story of such job more than those doing the job. Most of the bad stories concerning marketing jobs, especially bank marketing, are false. Many are just afraid of trying what they do not know.

They prefer to be unemployed rather than trying first. It may not really be as the stories you heard about that particular job until you try it. Some are surviving in it because they have tried and discovered that what they heard before were just mere stories.

Try it first. If you try it and then fail, you have gained some experiences. The experiences can be stepping stone for you to establish yourself and then make yourself better.


Of the truth, most of the things you heard about a particular job are not true. You will find out when you have personal experience. For example, in a marketing job which is where I have experience in, you reform yourself on how to relate with some customers.

It is not everything they want you to do that you will do. You have your own say. If a customer wants to take advantage of you for example, you can apply your skills to calm him down. You must not dance to his tune.

But outside there, people see many female marketers in banks and other institutions as loose people. Sometimes, it is people that are not in a particular circle that tell more stories about that particular group.

The worst is not trying at all. As a youth, try to establish yourself. Try something new today by building yourself as a potential great youth. Failure isn’t the worst possible result; not trying is. So try that offer and opportunity first.

What are you waiting for? Why not try first? Let me tell you, there is no harm in trying such idea. You have unique features in you. For the fact that you are living, you can do great things.

Do not feel that you cannot do great things in a particular area because you are not grounded in it. It is a wrong orientation. Change the way you see things. 

There are many trending skills that you can learn to grow yourself bigger. Some youths think that only those that have experience in that area are the people that can succeed in it. See, you can learn and even do better than people that have been into it. 

Try it first. Some of such skill is Application Designing. Microsoft company and other companies have open their hands and ready to teach any youth that wants to learn even free of charge. Irrespective of what you studied ,you can learn it and add it to what you knew to make yourself better. You can search the internet and see outlets that can teach you these skills even free. 

So, do not be afraid to try something new dear valued youths. The worst possible result is not failure but not trying at all. Try something new today. You never can tell the level you can reach by trying first. There is no harm in trial.
